The Project

The Brief:
Google’s Bolands Mills office in Dublin Ireland needed a dynamic and cutting-edge workplace that matched their innovative culture. The goal was to create an open, collaborative environment while ensuring functionality, privacy, and seamless integration of technology throughout the office space.

The key requirements were:
– Maximising transparency and natural light between different areas.
– Ensuring flexibility with high-quality materials that contribute to acoustic performance and privacy.
– Incorporating accessible tech panels throughout the workspaces.

Our Solution:
Working with Si Comm, we manufactured and supplied bespoke products specifically designed to meet Google’s unique needs.

Quartz Linear Double Glazed Partition:
These partitions were installed to divide spaces without losing the open, transparent feel Google wanted. With a narrow double glazed profile and an excellent acoustic performance of up to 47dB(Rw) , they helped lessen distractions in the busy office space while also adding to the industrial look of the workplace through the use of internal and external aluminium bands.

Stile Door:
The Stile Doors complemented the partitions with their sleek, modern look. They provided a seamless continuation in design with aluminium bands also being fitted to the doors. Providing an acoustic resistance of up to 39dB(Rw), our Stile Door helps in creating areas of focus, ideal for busy offices.

Accessible Tech Panel:
We integrated our Accessible Tech Panels into meeting rooms and collaborative areas. Our Accessible Tech Panels provide an easy and functional way to install and maintain electrics without the hassle of taking apart the glass partitions.

The Result:
The new office space at Bolands Mills embodies Google’s commitment to innovation and thoughtful design. Our Quartz 54mm Double Glazed Partitions strike a perfect balance between openness and acoustic privacy, while the Stile Doors elevate the sleek, modern aesthetic. Our Accessible Tech Panels ensure smooth, uninterrupted operations, and our  powder-coated aluminium bands seamlessly integrate with the building’s industrial heritage, blending contemporary office features with the character of the historic space.
